Dr. Karyn Grossman is a board-certified dermatologist in private practice in Santa Monica and New York City specializing in dermatology and dermatologic surgery, including state-of-the-art cosmetic and laser procedures.

As a dermatologist, Dr. Grossman is known for her attention to fine detail and aesthetic balance, in addition to her dedication to helping her patients reach their cosmetic goals. She is nationally appreciated for her techniques in laser therapy, liposuction and fat injections. She is also known for her Collagen and Botox injections, sclerotherapy, chemical peels and overall management of skin care.

Dr. Grossman is a seasoned consultant to broadcast and print media outlets in the efforts to educate consumers about proper skin care and sun protection. Television appearances include The View, CNBC, NBC Nightly News, Fox News, The Travel Channel, Extra and KTLA Live. In addition, she has been quoted in numerous articles in fashion magazines, including Elle, Vogue, Allure, InStyle, Glamour, Self, Shape, Ladies' Home Journal, W and Avenue. Dr. Grossman was also named one of five "Hot Derms" by Harper's Bazaar and listed as one of the top cosmetic surgeons by Town & Country and More Magazine.

Dr. Grossman has published a variety of articles in the dermatologic literature ranging from basic science research articles to those on cosmetic dermatology, and has authored numerous textbook chapters on hair loss, chemical peels and treatment of facial scars.

She has also presented various studies at the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Manhattan Eye and Eye International plastic surgery meeting - The Cutting Edge II. She has also served as an instructor for laser courses at the American Academy of Dermatology Meetings and serves as a national instructor for Coherent Inc. and Con Bio Inc. on the proper use of the Ultrapulse CO2 laser and Erbium: YAG laser for resurfacing, and for ESC Medical Inc. on the treatment of blood vessels on the face, vascular lesions and scars using the Photoderm.

Dr. Grossman attended an accelerated six-year premedical and medical program at Boston University where she minored in Art History. She conducted her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan and then entered Harvard University where she completed her residency and fellowship. During her time at Harvard, Dr. Grossman was appointed as the Senior Resident Director of Dermatology Resident Education and organized and chaired the New England Dermatologic Society Annual Meeting.
