These banked stem cells, frozen in suspended animation, are safely stored at StemSource's facility until needed by the patient. The cells are stored in four separate compartments making it possible for patients to use their stem cells several different times. Laboratory studies have shown that fat cells removed from liposuction can be made to develop into various tissue types, such as bone, cartilage, nerve, and muscle.
